Process Analysis and Optimization
Do you ever feel like you are spinning your wheels when working on a project? Usually these problems can be solved by having a CTS consultant look at your business processes and find ways to make the process run more efficiently or suggest necessary changes to alleviate the bottlenecks.
Approach
The CTS professional will work with the business process owner at your company to identify all the steps of the current processes, the strengths and weaknesses, and the potential bottlenecks. Once all the steps in the business process have been classified according to the business goal the step contributes to, steps that do not contribute to a specific goal will be flagged accordingly.
For each process that is flagged as a problem CTS will determine possible methods for strengthening the weaknesses and alleviating the bottlenecks of the processes. We will also evaluate techniques developed in the improvements to the business processes to determine if technology could be used to implement the techniques. If technology solutions can be found, CTS will specify the high-level business requirements of these solutions, identify components of existing infrastructure that meet the requirements of the technology solutions, and identify any gaps that are not satisfied by existing infrastructure. CTS will then develop new business processes based on our findings.
