Property Record Information System Manager (PRISM) Web for Iberdrola Renewables (MCE: IBR.MC)
Business Problem
Iberdrola Renewables is a market leader in the energy sector providing renewable energy solutions tailored to meet the needs of wholesale, commercial and industrial customers. Iberdrola balances its portfolio with sales to wholesale customers, placing almost all of its output in long-term contracts. The administration of these contracts has become increasingly difficult as the complexity of the contract terms and scale of wind development projects continue to increase. The decentralization of existing records and manual processes has resulted in inefficiencies and duplication of efforts. As a result crucial data is not easily accessible and the business is not able to effectively respond to inquiries, transfer knowledge or share system information.

Solution
CTS partnered with Iberdrola to build a web-based solution designed to solve the records management issues plaguing the company. The system provides the means to manage data throughout the life of a wind energy project. Wind turbine production data from external sources is integrated to allow a payment engine to efficiently calculate landowner lease payments based on a variety of methods common to the wind generation industry. In addition to the calculation of payments, a reminder system ensures that contractual payment obligations are met in a timely manner.
PRISM Web is highly customizable and extensible and contains additional features such as role based applications security, user administration, reporting, search and navigation features. Intangible features such as increased customer satisfaction, improved customer relations, easier access to land/lease management information, decreased wait times for phone inquiries, easier access to payment history information, and increased knowledge sharing across project phases was achieved with the PRISM Web implementation.
