Outsourced Quality Assurance for HealthSouth

Since 2006, CTS has provided Quality Assurance (QA) leadership to HealthSouth Corporation, a nationwide provider of diagnostic, surgical, and rehabilitative care. HealthSouth’s investment in HP’s suite of QA products and the presence of CTS QA consultants, allowed the company to identify QA as an integral part of their organization. It was no real surprise when, in the summer of 2007, HealthSouth chose to outsource its entire internal QA staff to CTS. HealthSouth was returning to its core business and needed to reduce headcount in the IT department. They were also undertaking an enterprise-wide PeopleSoft software upgrade. HealthSouth management viewed this upgrade as one of the most important IT projects in the company’s volatile history. While staff reductions had to take place, the need for proven Quality Assurance was greater than ever before.
